In November, here in Alberta, gardens are pretty much ready to sleep for the coming winter. Many gardeners and farmers are already starting to think of what we will grow next spring. Going through seed inventory is a large part of that. At ALCLA Native Plants we are busy with seeds: selling, cleaning, and inventorying.
We have already put some seeds into stratification and will continue on with that through the winter. Along this vein I wanted to share a video that our co-owner Latifa Pelletier-Ahmed did in conjunction with the Calgary Horticultural Society on “Starting Native Plants from Seed.”
